Lincoln, NE. Evangelists John, Kevin, Bob, Father Brian, and Deacon Evan hit the streets!

Though they got off to a slow start because of a rainstorm, by about 10:15 AM the rain had stopped and the evangelization could begin.

“Ida” accepted a rosary and asked the evangelists to pray for her daughter-in-law, who was dying from brain cancer. They all gathered around Ida and Father Brian prayed aloud for comfort, peace, and salvation for the dying.

They also met two young girls who were in a deep discussion nearby, and offered them a rosary, with a short explanation about how to pray it. One of the evangelists reports, “I explained that it is a meditation on Christ’s life through the eyes of his mother. I explained the joyful mysteries to them and by the time I explained that in the Visitation, where we can see that Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant, drawing them back to David’s dancing before the Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament, they both reached out their hand and asked for the rosaries. One of them said, ‘I love it!’”

Our evangelists were able to talk to a steady stream of people. They handed out dozens of rosaries and Fr. Brian was able to distribute numerous copies of “Rediscovering Catholicism” and “Rome Sweet Home” as he chatted with people all morning.
