From Dorothea in Rehoboth Beach, DE:
I had a great day evangelizing at Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, DE today. Met many people of all ages and different faiths, including a Police officer, who said he always prays the prayer to St. Michael. I gave away 36 rosaries, and almost as many pamphlets on how to pray the Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Infinite Value of the Holy Mass, and other Holy Cards. Those who were not Catholic, I invited to come to a Catholic Mass at a church near them. Those who were Catholic, I asked them to share the pamphlets with others they know who need them. Everyone was very thankful for everything. May God be praised! Please pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to be at work in all of their hearts.
Praised be Jesus Christ for another great day of evangelization? Will you join us in this essential work?
Why do you give away rosaries when praying to Mary can do nothing for you?
Have you tried praying to Mary? She’s the heavenly Mother that Jesus gave us as a very special gift with His dying breath on the cross. As She told the children in Medjugorje: “If you knew how much I love you, you would weep with joy!” That means YOU- JAY too!
She has one mission from Heaven now: to bring us “the surest, shortest, easiest & most perfect route to Her Son”. Jesus is the Head, we are His Body, & She is the neck whom God willed to connect the Head & Body. We didn’t make all this up. God did. He chose Her through whom to come to us. And He chose Her through whom to go back to Him. Not that He cannot do it without Her, but it is His preferred method filled with the most benefits for us who OBEY Him.
Who was proud satan far more humbled by when God inaugurated His Redemption: a little 15 year old Jewish girl or if God Himself came through no one?? And who are we proud sinners humbled by in our journey to God: to go directly to Almighty God by our boot straps alone, or with the aid of that same humble little Mother who has only our best & eternal interests at heart- now powered by Almighty God? Try it- with humility & faith. She’ll answer you with a Mother’s Love. Remember, though- humility & faith. Or at least ask for those as you develop your relationship “To Jesus through Mary”. Love & Prayers, your little sister in Jesus & Mary.
When someone says something along the lines of “praying to Mary can do nothing” it always sounds to me like they are describing the dogmatic belief that we have but one mediator, who is Jesus Christ. That is certainly Catholic as far as it goes. There is but one Christ and he alone is a fitting sacrifice for the atonement of our sins and by His blood alone are we redeemed and reconciled to God, the Father. But it denies the aspect of intercessory prayer, which we are all admonished to do for one another and minimizes the sacrificial cooperation that all Christians can offer as St Paul says,”To complete the sacrifice of Christ for the good of his body, which is the Church.” I know of no non-Catholic denominations which promote a doctrine against intercessor prayer or against offering our own sacrifices and sufferings to Jesus. Catholics certainly do not believe that Mary or any other created being can replace or supplant Jesus as Savior. But we are blessed with the grace to prayer with and for each other in the communion of the saints

Saw The Church Universal on EWTN 3/12/17. Thanks!
Once God created the human race, He has expected His people to be actively involved in praying for each other and in helping one another along the path of Salvation. If you are Christian, you are so not just because of Christ, but because there were 13 Apostles — including Paul — who took up the teachings of Christ and spread the Gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amidst their gatherings was Mary, who the Holy Spirit had come upon at the time of the Incarnation. She was always praying for those Apostles and relating to them the stories she had of the life of Christ. She “mothered” them in the early stages of their mission and up until she passed into eternity.
