Flint, MI. The stories keep coming in from the recent Flint, MI youth conference. The Lord reached a great number of people through these teens. Let us always remember that God can work through any person who is willing to serve Him, young or old, rich or poor, woman or man. As 1 Timothy 4:12 reminds us, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, purity.”

The following report comes from one of the teens that attended The Mission: Flint youth conference several weeks ago:

I saw a woman walking across the street and I went up to greet her. Once we started talking, she said she really didn’t have a church to call home, nor was she religious. But by the grace of God, she still accepted prayer. As we prayed for her whole life situation, her smile covered her whole face and her eyes gleamed with hope. To her, there was so much joy in this little moment. We invited her to a Catholic Church nearby and she seemed interested to go visit! It’s so interesting the plan God has in mind–when we think we are spreading joy to others, sometimes its others who spread joy to us.

Praised be Jesus Christ! These teens courageously stepped out to be Jesus’ hands and feet to the people of Flint.
May they inspire us to be bold and confident in God when we go out to evangelize.
