Lagos, Nigeria. Our evangelists, Randy and Sean, had a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time. Only five days to teach the parishioners of Divine Mercy Catholic Church about Evangelization, healing prayer and hospitality, and then practice evangelization on the streets of Lagos. Thankfully those that attended the training were very willing and passionate about learning to share the gospel.

The following report comes to us from team leader Randy (Dallas, TX) on assignment in Lagos, Nigeria:

Today, Randy and Sean went to 8:00 am Mass at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Lagos. The Mass was beautiful and very reverent, festooned with beautiful African arrangements of praise and worship songs. Both of them were very moved by the Mass’s richness and variety and the stunning Nigerian outfits on both the men and the women. Definitely not dressing for the beach like in some American parishes.

Immediately after Mass Sean and Randy had a day of healing prayer training in the parish hall. The hall was packed to capacity and both evangelists were surprised and moved by the enthusiasm and interest shown by all in attendance. Rather than taking a break at lunchtime it seemed as though everyone wanted to stay and take photos with the evangelists!

Upon completion of the training Randy and Sean prayed for healing for many in attendance. To conclude the day, Fr. Nwaezeapu had everyone pray for healing for someone else in attendance. Sean and Randy then went to Fr.’s residence for a light meal and to unwind and discuss the day’s events and the success of the conference so far. It was a very productive and spirit filled day!

Praised be Jesus Christ! Make sure to check in tomorrow for another story from Nigeria, where Randy and Sean tackle Team Leader Training.
