Madison Heights, MI. St. Therese of Lisieux believed in the little way. And we should too. Doing small things with great love is a simple, yet profound way to achieve holiness. The Little Flower once shared some words of wisdom on the topic, which we can gain much from: “MIss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.” Handing out Miraculous Medals, like the evangelist in today’s story, would certainly qualify as a small act of love…but one which can have a big impact.

The following report comes to us from evangelist Michael from our SPSE National team in Warren, MI:

My buddy James texted me yesterday with some updates on medals he had handed out from the batch of 30 I’d given him during Holy Week. Gino, a friend of James, stopped by his house to do a “porch pickup” of four blessed Miraculous Medals for his family. They attend St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Troy, MI. Lisa, another friend of his who is a nurse and is working on a COVID unit at Ascension Providence Hospital, had received a medal from James and also gave one to her patients.

Every gesture, big or small, that we can show to our neighbors, our healthcare workers, our grocery store workers…whoever it might be, hopefully it gives them strength and hope during this terrible pandemic.

Praised be Jesus Christ!
