The following report comes to us from evangelist Br. John with our Society of Evangelists in Warren, MI:

I went to the grocery store to pick up some cake and ice cream for the office to celebrate Our Lady’s birthday. When I asked the worker if they had any sugar-free cakes, she said they didn’t. I noticed that she was walking around with a limp and when I asked about it, she said that she broke her ankle 20 years ago. I said “Oh, I’m so sorry. Have you ever had anyone pray for it?” She said she had, so I asked if I could pray for her and she said yes. I asked if she believed in God, to which she responded that she did. When I asked if she believed in Jesus, she also responded affirmatively. When I asked if she believed that He healed people when he walked the Earth and he can still heal people today, she enthusiastically said “Yes!” I asked her name (Jane) and began to pray for her. After the prayer, I checked on her and she said she didn’t feel much different but she was so thankful for the prayer. I offered her a Miraculous Medal and told her about Our Lady. She received it and that’s when it got busy with other workers so we blessed each other and I went looking for other options.

When I went to the ice cream aisle I asked a young lady if she had any sugar-free ice cream and she wasn’t sure so she began looking with me. We didn’t find any and she apologized but said that with today’s health concerns there should be! I agreed and as I left I asked her if she needed prayer for anything because I love to pray for people. She smiled and emphatically said yes! She had just given birth and had back pain from an epidural. Before I got the chance to pray, Amy held out both of her hands and said you need to hold both of my hands when we pray! So we prayed for her new baby son and for her and her back pain. After the prayer she opened her eyes and with a big smile exclaimed, “Wow I totally needed that today! You just don’t know!” I checked on her pain and she said she wouldn’t know until she started to work more. I gave her a Miraculous Medal and explained how there’s no love greater than a mother for her child and how much Mary loved her son Jesus and wanted us to love the same. I told her that today is a very special day because it’s Mary’s birthday. She joyfully received the medal and was still glowing!

Praised be Jesus Christ!
