The following report comes to us from regional missionary Deb with our team in Owatonna, MN:

Today we were out evangelizing and saw many people out and about in The Peace Plaza. It was a lovely day, and many were sitting at tables having lunch. We prayed for the Lord to open hearts for those that needed prayer and comfort and also prayed over all the people sitting in the plaza. We went about an hour and 50 minutes out of our two-hour schedule with little interaction.

All of a sudden, a gust of wind came, and a chunk of our prayer request slips scattered in the wind. Several people got up and started helping to collect them and one woman took one back to her table and started writing on it. I went up and asked if she needed prayer and she said her mom did. She didn’t want a rosary or medal and didn’t seem to want to talk, so I took her request back to our wagon. As I was walking away from her, one of our other evangelists, Tom, told me she was crying. I went back over to her and asked if I could pray for her and her mom and she said yes. She didn’t want to talk about what the problem was, so I prayed for her and for her mom, for peace, for knowledge of God’s love, for trust that the Lord is in control, for comfort, for hope, and for healing. She had been shaking and crying when I started but calmed as I prayed.

When I got done, she said “Thank you so much, that is exactly what I needed!” Praise God that he put us in her path right when she needed to feel God’s love and presence. Please keep Gail and Barb in your prayers.

Praised be Jesus Christ!
