The following report comes to us from virtual evangelization school student Nancy in Gaithersburg, MD:
The Mother of God Community hosted a Young Adult Encounter Ministry Conference this past weekend. My daughter, Miranda, who is a chef and lives in Nashville, has been away from the church for awhile. I’d invited her to this conference back in January when it was first planned. To make a long story short, it was a very blessed weekend for her. We have been encouraging her in her faith for a long time and interceding, but I can see how God, Our Lady and the saints, really honor our prayers. She went to confession after many years of being away and got prayed over on a number occasions for a deeper awareness of the Holy Spirit working in her life. In high school she was baptized in the Spirit and was very close to the Lord. She left yesterday and wrote to me this morning that nothing can take away what God has done for her this past weekend. I usually write her a letter that she can read on the way home and encouraged her to protect with her life what God has done.
My other daughter, who is close to the Lord, is getting married on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so we will all be together again then. The beauty of the Catholic faith will be reinforced I know. Miranda and her boyfriend will be coming, he was raised Baptist and has been away from the church since high school. They are both in their early thirties and have been living together for the past four years. He has never proposed to her but always says he is thinking about it. As Miranda realizes that she is not getting any younger, I do believe she wants to make things right this time and make some decisions in her life to change the direction of her life. Please pray that she will stand firm.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
