This report comes to us from team leader Lucy in Boise, ID:
A group of 6 or 7 older teens stopped at the word “free”. Between them, they claimed my entire week’s allotment of chain Rosaries (of which I had been planning to lay two or three on the table). They hurried off before I could describe the Rosary devotion or give them the pamphlet on how to pray it. I handed a handful of the pamphlets to the last teen and asked him to give one to each of the others. Unfortunately, I don’t think he did. Please pray for them.
A “used to be Catholic” man and accompanying woman stopped when I asked what special event was going on. He explained the lifestyle-affirming gathering and even chose a Rosary, for old times’ sake. He still identifies as Christian and agrees that our culture needs prayer. The woman, a nonbeliever, declined receiving even the one-page kerygma. Lord, grant they find the fullness of Faith in the Catholic Church.
A seemingly financially down-and-out couple stopped for a free Rosary apiece. She also snagged our only copy of a Catholic Bible. I suggested she start reading the Gospel of Mark. She sat in her wheelchair across the walkway from me, holding up a cardboard sign (“homeless and pregnant, anything helps”). I didn’t notice anyone stopping. The man sat at a picnic table near her. As the couple closed up shop over there, they came and asked for Rosaries for two other people they knew. I told them we’re here every Sunday afternoon and suggested they send them to us. Please pray for them.
Praised be Jesus Christ! Please pray that God sends people to our Boise team with their hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes from their efforts.
