I'll never confess my sins to a priest. I'll just go straight to God

Hi Team Leaders!!

In this video we talk about what is going on in December and pray for our teams.

The Evangelist’s Prayer: Come, Holy Spirit! Set our hearts on fire with zeal for the Gospel, love for all people, and the desire for their salvation. Inspire us that we might proclaim the Gospel persuasively and with charity, giving witness with our words and our lives. Give us courage in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the truth, beauty, and goodness of our Catholic faith. We beg you also to open the hearts of all people, helping them to know Your love and Your call to the fullness of life in Your Church. Through our holy patrons, Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Paul, we ask these graces for all the evangelists of St. Paul Street Evangelization, and we make this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

“How many paths are there to Heaven?”

Detroit, Michigan. In our pluralistic society, many people falsely believe that “almost everybody will go to heaven,” regardless of their faith or merit. While we do not focus on apologetics and we do not condemn anyone, we do believe in paragraph 183 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “Faith is necessary for salvation. The […]

God Desires All to Be Saved

Dallas, TX. The Catholic Church teaches that salvation is possible even for those who do not believe in Christ explicitly (See 2nd Vatican Council’s “Lumen Gentium,” sec. 16). Since God desires all men to be saved (1 Tim 2:4), and Christ died for all (2 Cor 5:15), it seems that God provides a way for […]

“One of the Best Days of My Priestly Life”

Bloomington, IN. The priest, in a special way, is called to evangelize. In 2010, speaking of the three offices of the priest, Pope Benedict XVI said, “The Lord has entrusted a great task to priests: to be heralds of his word, of the Truth that saves; to be his voice in the world to bring […]

Infant Baptism and the Bible

One of our evangelists, Nick, talked at length with a Protestant gentleman about being “Born Again” and the doctrine of infant baptism. This man said infant baptism was a heresy because infants were unable to have faith at that age and that you should only be Baptized after you have a “Born Again” experience. Nick […]

Evangelizing Jehovah Witnesses

The Boise team showed up downtown at the same time that a Jehovah’s Witnesses (JWs) convention was being held. This turned out to be an interesting encounter with some JWs who came up to ‘preach’ to the Catholic team. The JW insisted that believers are to address God by His ‘real name’, “Jehovah,” so that’s […]

Evangelization vs Proselytizing

“I will no longer support street evangelization because Pope Francis said not to proselytize!” Sadly, we have had members of St. Paul Street Evangelization contact us and tell that they are going to stop supporting our ministry and stop evangelizing in the circumstances of their own life because Pope Francis reportedly said that he does […]

Jesus, Horus, and a Response to Zeitgeist the Movie

By Matt Fradd How should one respond to those who say that Jesus is just a spin-off of pagan deities? Before we look at some of these alleged parallels between Christianity and paganism (and why they’re false), it’s important to note that similarity does not imply dependence. That is, even if Christianity did have beliefs […]
