Dallas, Texas. In a culture that is bombarded by advertising and companies trying to get one’s attention, we sometimes have to be creative as evangelists. That doesn’t necessarily mean marketing, but sometimes a bold attention grabber can be the match that starts a combustion of faith that might not otherwise have happened. As we will see in the following report, sometimes people are just looking for an opportunity to talk and learn more about why we as Catholics believe what we do. Let’s give them that opportunity!

“Last Saturday this shirt allowed me to converse with two women at a coffee shop. One wanted a rosary and to learn how to pray it. The other, a New Age “Christian,” wanted to tell me why God forgives everyone, all will be saved, and there is no Hell despite Jesus’ warnings. Both were sitting together and heard my entire conversation with the other. A stark reminder that faith really is a divine gift—some receive it and some don’t, at least that afternoon.”
Praised be Jesus Christ! “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left” (Mt 24:40-41). The Lord is coming…are we ready? Sometimes we need a bold wake up call, and our evangelists do not shy away from being bold in the proclamation of the Gospel, the message of salvation of Jesus Christ and his Church. Faith is indeed a gift of grace, but it is one freely given when we dispose of our hearts to it and ask for it. The Lord is not stingy with His gifts!
