The following report comes to us from evangelist Br. John with our Society of Evangelists in Warren, MI:

I was walking into a local store when a lady stopped me to sign a petition for a controversial topic. I asked her for details, and upon hearing and reading more on the issue I declined. I explained that I’m Christian and there are certain things that I don’t believe in and that signing her petition could actually hurt us. After giving an example, I sensed some tension so I focused on the need to love and respect one another despite our differences, especially given everything going on in the world and she agreed. I blessed her and her effort and was about to depart. However, when she mentioned God was taking care of her, I stopped and asked if I could pray for her. She agreed and mentioned that she needed prayer for work. I asked her name, and she said Stephanie, and then I introduced myself.

As I prayed encouragement over Stephanie and the love of Jesus I noticed she was crying. I finished the prayer then we talked about Jesus and his plan for her life. I offered her a Miraculous Medal, explained the story behind it and asked if she had kids. She said yes and I explained how the love that she has, as a mother for her children, is the greatest love on earth. I compared it to the love of the Blessed Virgin Mary for Jesus and how she wants us to love Him too. She understood, took off the medal she was wearing and put on the Miraculous Medal. We encouraged each other more, blessed each other and went on our way.

Praised be Jesus Christ!
