The following report comes to us from team leader Nancy with our team in Gaithersburg, MD:

Thank you to Amparo and Sheila who ministered to so many people last week with me. In Luke 4 Jesus spells out His mission statement which was prophesied in Isaiah 61: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind to let the oppressed go free and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord”. Being at the bus station where we evangelize always reminds me of the captivity that I was in and how merciful God has been to me. What a privilege it is to offer the Good News of the Gospel to people who have never heard it and to people who have heard it but have fallen away. I met Raymond who was baptized Catholic but had fallen away and was experiencing real darkness. I was able to talk to him and share my own story of freedom. I asked him if he would like to recommit his life to God and renounce his sinful lifestyle which he did which was very beautiful. The grace of God I felt was being poured into his heart, giving him hope and a future. He slipped away before I could give him info about Confession and the churches in the area. Please pray for Raymond that he would act on the grace poured out.

Please also pray for Omar who is Presbyterian and very interested in the Catholic Church. Tom and I prayed over a beautiful Muslim woman, Semin, who had back issues. Tom is a physical therapist and has a real desire and compassion for people who have physical ailments for their healing. Another Muslim, a young adult, who had never heard about the Good News, was so intrigued about what we were offering, and wanted to bring it to his whole family. Thank you Lord for how you are working in people’s hearts even by our presence there.

May God continue to bless and protect our little Chapter and Our Lady guide us. Thank you to all the intercessors for their faithful prayer support.

Praised be Jesus Christ!
