The following report comes to us from a Basic Evangelization Training attendee in Cape Coral, FL:
After our training with Adam was over, we hit the streets to try our hand at evangelizing. We had a really good experience. We met a young man and his mother. He was applying for a job at the store Five Below. We didn’t realize beforehand, but he has autism. His mom asked us to pray over him to get a job, so we did. We prayed that the Lord send the Holy Spirit to give him the right words in his mouth and the right thoughts in his head that he would impress his interviewers. He went in to do the interview (we don’t know the results yet) and we talked to the mother for at least 10 minutes. She was blown away by our prayer, because her son has autism and has trouble formulating the right words. We said exactly what she would’ve wanted us to say. She felt that was very significant. She is Baptist, and her husband is Catholic. She was going to do RCIA when she was pregnant with her son, but she’d never gotten around to it. She indicated that this encounter with us was a very positive experience for her and is going to push her to do RCIA most likely and start praying more with her husband. Her husband has a rocky relationship with the church too. The two of them, I have a strong feeling, are going to dive back into the Catholic faith. She said she had never seen Catholics evangelize before.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
