This report is the first in a two-part series from team leader Lucy in Boise, Idaho:
God calls youth to Himself, so thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.
Early in the session, three teen visitors in rapid succession each accepted a Rosary but admitted they weren’t Christian. We encouraged them to use the stories of the Mysteries to get to know who Jesus is and why He’s important. May God draw each of them to Himself and salvation!
“Jamison” stopped; he is a non-Catholic Christian but open to learning about the Rosary devotion and chose one for himself. May Our Lord help him grow ever closer to Himself!
“Jerry”, a young man on a bicycle, paid attention to us but responded somewhat slowly and vaguely. He identified as belonging to a pseudo-Christian religion. Chuck explained the Rosary devotion and how meditating on the Cross helps us understand the tremendous gift of salvation that Jesus gave us. Jerry just nodded. As the encounter wound to a close, Lucy asked Jerry if he wanted us to pray for him, “for healing or anything.” He eagerly accepted the offer and told us he had multiple medical issues. We affirmed how much God loves him, and asked the Holy Spirit to heal whatever needed healing and to fill him with His love, peace, and joy. Lord Jesus Christ, please also grant that Jerry learns the truth about You.
We need youth in the Church, as well as faithful adults to guide and inspire them. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
Praised be Jesus Christ!
