The following story comes to us from team leader Lucy with our team in Boise, ID:

God is still calling people to Himself! So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

Acoustic jazz players had set up in front of the original convention center. Their music continued until nearly closing time (which was delayed this week since the evangelist with the supplies had arrived late).

“Andre” and wife, and their 4 children, stopped at the table. The family came from a currently war-torn country, and spoke to each other in that language. Andre told us that his father came to this country about twenty years ago, with nine children and a willingness to work. Andre’s children chose a Rosary apiece. May God grant a just peace for the family’s homeland, and may He grant them continued Faith in Him!

A twenty-something man, who is in OCIA at a local Newman center, stopped for a Rosary. He had been raised in a non-Catholic ancient Christian faith by his father, had fallen away, but was now being drawn into the Church. Asked what drew him to Catholicism, he replied that he had noticed how so many Protestant denominations contradict each other when referring to the same Bible passages. He wore a ring with the Jesus Prayer in Greek. May God bless and protect him on his journey into the Church, and may he remain forever faithful!

“Bonita”, a homeless woman, carefully chose two Rosaries and stashed them each in a pocket. After I had packed up and was leaving, I saw her again: she was sitting at a picnic table across the business park, shouting loudly. May God draw her to actually use the Rosary to pray with, and may He heal her of any addictions she might have and homelessness.

There was a heavy cloud cover but rain stayed away, and the wind calmed down as we set up. (Thank you, God!) Visitors selected all the chain Rosaries we had brought with us. Altogether, we gave away 15-20 Rosaries and its pamphlet, and 1-2 Divine Mercy prayer cards.

Please pray for us again today. Ask God to send people to us with their hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

Although indifference to God is inculcated by our culture, it’s heartwarming to see people respond positively, and to learn of those who have returned to Faith. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
