The following is a continuation of yesterday’s story that comes to us from team leader Lucy with our team in Boise, ID:
A nicely dressed, young-adult couple were curious about the Rosary. They attend a local non-Catholic Christian megachurch. After hearing a brief explanation of the devotion, they each chose a Rosary. James invited them to Mass. The couple, all smiles, and remaining very friendly and open, said thanks but politely declined. May God bless their willingness to be kind and draw them to Himself in the Church that He founded.
A 30-something woman, pedaling a bicycle and accompanied by her family, didn’t stop for a Rosary. But she did turn to us and say, “No, thanks, but they’re beautiful.” May the Lord use color and beauty to draw her into the relationship with Himself that He desires.
Another adult man, pedaling past the table, responded to our free Rosary offer by calling out, “I’m lapsed”. May God continue to draw him out of his apathy and back into right relationship with Him in the Catholic Church.
A young-adult couple walked along as if to go by without acknowledging us, but the man suddenly changed his mind and took the Rosary from the evangelist’s hand. He said “sure” when asked about his belief in Jesus, but was more smiles than words. The young woman declined a Rosary, saying she would share his as they hurried on their way. Pray that their lukewarm faith grows hot and full of the Holy Spirit.
The weather was hot, so foot traffic was light. Still, we were able to give away 15-20 Rosaries and its pamphlet on how to pray it.
Please pray for us again today. Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.
In this season, when many people are traveling to the area, the surprise of seeing the Faith displayed in public draws people to think about Jesus. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
