This report comes to us from team leader Geoff with our St. Columba parish team in Durango, Colorado:

For our first outing, we evangelized at the Flea Market where we were able to set up a tent and table with lots of colorful rosaries, Miraculous Medals and Catholic pamphlets. We didn’t know what to expect or how many people would be interested in talking to us. It turned out that the SPSE method of offering free rosaries, Miraculous Medals or prayers to initiate a faith conversation worked great! The majority of people we encountered were open to receiving a free faith gift and prayer, and were happy to talk about the faith. We encountered fallen away Catholics, Protestants, spiritual but not religious, Mormons, people with Native American/indigenous faith and others. We utilized the SPSE method of listen, befriend, proclaim and invite, and people opened up to us about their faith journeys, their situations, questions and concerns they had about Catholicism, and difficulties and traumas in their lives and their need for healing. We talked to many people, gave out lots of rosaries and miraculous medals, answered questions, gave testimony to the faith and good reasons why we’re Catholic, we prayed for people, and we invited people to OCIA and the Catholic Church. It was truly a blessing for us and for the people we evangelized! The Holy Spirit is doing good work with our team and our community.

Praised be Jesus Christ!
