The following story comes to us from team leader Lucy with our team in Boise, ID:
It’s getting colder. Still happy to be going out and sharing the Gospel. A Catholic family stopped to chat. The man told us he was from the city where the original Divine Mercy image had been painted. The mother took a Rosary to give as a gift, along with its pamphlet on how to pray it. She then asked for a copy of both of the prayer cards we had on the table: the Vilnius Divine Mercy image, and an Our Lady Undoer of Knots prayer card. The woman wasn’t familiar with the latter devotion, so I gave her a quick recap of how the future Pope Francis discovered the devotion in Europe and how effective the prayer is, especially for solving relationship issues. Lord, wonderful in Your Saints, please bless that family and keep them Faithful.
A Catholic woman stopped. She told us she had been, over time, giving a Rosary to each of her nieces and nephews. She paused for a moment to decide who would be the next recipient before she made her choice. She also talked about the Marian shrine near her hometown in another part of this country. I think she also took an Our Lady Undoer of Knots prayer card. Blessed Mother, you lead us to Your Son and advise us to “do whatever He asks”. Please ask Your Son to bless this woman and all of her nieces and nephews and bring them each to salvation in Him.
“Ravenna”, accompanied by her husband and new baby, stopped for a Rosary. She’s a non-Catholic Christian who is enthusiastic about Jesus. She gives Him all the credit for her now being three years clean from addiction to a very dangerous drug. She recognizes that all she has is an undeserved gift from Him! Lord, thank You for Your great mercy! Please continue to bless Ravenna and her family!
A large pseudo-Christian sect has taken over a good quarter of the business park with their “Giving Machine” promotion, which includes a bank of at least three ATMs. Different musicians were performing live Christmas music and, ironically, some of them sang traditional religious hymns that celebrate Jesus Christ as our one God and Savior, truths that their particular religion rejects. We weren’t visited by any of their missionaries, but several people who had stopped at their setup also came and accepted a Rosary from us. Lord, lead them to the real You, Who alone are the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
Praised be Jesus Christ!
