The following comes to us from team leader Lucy with our team in Boise, ID:
Even when people don’t yet know God, they are still drawn to His goodness. Thanks for your continued prayers for our outreach. “Dave” stopped by asking for a city map. The conversation quickly turned to his elderly dad, an artist whose declining health and personality changes have been deeply distressing. Dave shared that his father is now in hospice and that he recently drove him across several states to family, an experience that was traumatic for them both. Before leaving, Dave admitted fears about his own mortality. Pray that this unease opens his heart to conversion, and for peace and faith for his father, sister, and family.
A young homeless man named “Bryce” accepted a Rosary, parish directions, and a Why Be Catholic? pamphlet. He listened attentively as we explained the Rosary and even joked about helping with our “marketing.” He then brought another homeless man over and chose a Rosary for him as well. Pray that Bryce may find both spiritual healing and a path off the streets.
“Hakoah,” a cheerful young man who recently left a pseudo-Christian religion, gladly accepted a Rosary and a Good News pamphlet. Though cautious about religion, he listened openly to an explanation of the Rosary. Pray that he does not confuse the truth with what he left behind, and that Christ leads him home to the Church.
Despite light foot traffic due to steady rain, we gave away nearly ten Rosaries, pamphlets, and parish maps. Please continue to pray that God sends people to us with hearts ready to recognize their need for Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church. Thanks for your prayers and support—may God bless and protect you and all those you love.
