This report comes from team leader Deb:

On Saturday morning, after breakfast at the hotel, the man making the omelets came out in the hall for a break. I asked him if he would like a blessed medal. He asked if those were the things that looked like dimes that he saw around people’s necks and I explained what they were. I had some Miraculous Medals, St. Michael Medals, and crucifixes with me. He told me his name was Winford. I told him about St. Michael and his power against the devil and he said he wanted that one because the devil was always after him. I gave him the medal and card and asked if he needed prayers for anything. He said his wife, Ellen, was very sick and losing lots of weight and he didn’t know what to do. I got out a Miraculous Medal and card for her and prayed for Winford and healing for Ellen. He was so grateful and choked up. He said he thought I might be an angel sent from God to pray for his wife. I said I wasn’t an angel, but that I was sure that God put me in his path because God wanted him to know that he loves him and Ellen.

Tom, Dan, and Ann were talking to several different people about Jesus and Jamaliah was talking to a young man about the Rosary. She explained it to him and gave him a How to Pray the Rosary pamphlet. After she finished talking to him, he pulled out a speaker box and started playing “Where is the Love” just as some Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist came by. Sister Mary Avila said to him “that’s my jam!” and she started singing with him. A crowd gathered around, and we were filled with joy watching them sing together. Praise the Lord!

At the Convention Center, I was able to pray for several police officers that were there for security. Bobby took at St. Michael medal and asked for prayers for his bad leg. Nick also asked for prayers for safety and wanted a St. Michael medal. Tom told me he was Christian and asked about the Catholic faith. I shared with him my one good reason why I’m Catholic. He wanted one of each of the medals that I had and asked for prayers for healing for his knee.
