The following is a continuation of yesterday’s story, which comes to us from team leader Lucy with our team in Boise, ID:

A teenage boy on an electric scooter zoomed past us several times, but finally stopped when the word “free” registered with him. Still, he paused to ask, “Free? What do I have to do?” We said that he only had to treat it reverently. After choosing his Rosary and speeding away, we noticed he was checking in with adults at a picnic table across the square before making another trip around it on the scooter. Later, he came back. He said that his grandmother, who was in town visiting, wanted a Rosary, too, and chose a pastel pink one for her. May God unite their family in Faith in Christ Jesus, and may the Rosary prayers draw them into a deeper relationship with Him.

A man who probably has lifestyle issues separating him from Christ, stopped for a Rosary. But he was already wearing one around his neck! He explained that the Rosary wasn’t one of ours, that he’d gotten it elsewhere. So, we let him choose another, encouraging him to actually try praying the prayers.

A couple, accompanying a preteen boy, went by. When the parents declined our offer of a Rosary, the boy echoed them, adding a mocking headshake. It broke our hearts that the parents aren’t teaching about Jesus Christ when their son is so willing to follow their lead. They passed by again late in the session. This time, the boy spoke of his astonishment that we were “still standing there two hours later”. One evangelist replied that it was “because God loves them”. The dad nearly said something, but then continued walking. Lord, save them!

Uwe stopped to chat a bit, exclaiming how great the weather was and how we are just insignificant nothings in the universe. We said that God loves us and that makes us significant, and that we are made in the image of God. But he didn’t seem to like that kind of talk, and just waved it away. Then he asked how “business” was with us, and was skeptical that anybody was actually interested in God. He tried to end on a cordial note and repeated how nice the weather was. We are thankful that he is not openly hostile anymore and will even talk to us, but please continue praying that Uwe comes to know God the Person.

Altogether, we gave away 20-25 Rosaries and its pamphlet, as well as one map to area parishes.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with their hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit comes of today’s efforts.

God’s love for us is so astonishing! So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
