The following story comes to us from team leader Deb with our team in Owatonna, MN:

Under crisp blue skies, the evangelization team returned to Rochester’s Peace Plaza, navigating around the construction zones to a quieter end of the block. Though the setting had changed, the Spirit was powerfully present throughout the morning.

The team met a man who had walked away from organized religion after a painful childhood message of condemnation. Though he declined prayer for himself, he allowed the team to lift up his dying brother, Eugene, in prayer—a touching moment that opened a path for intercession and compassion.

A mom and her young daughter, facing emotional trauma and custody concerns, found solace in heartfelt prayer. The mother expressed deep gratitude for the calm she felt after the blessing. Likewise, another young woman, coping with sudden and permanent vision loss, received prayers for healing and peace as she waited for doctors to determine how to protect her remaining sight.

Several passersby surprised the team with brief but meaningful encounters. Steve, who has prayed the rosary daily for 15 years, gratefully received another one to replace one he recently lost. A couple walking by casually requested a prayer over their shoulders—an invitation accepted by our team.

An unexpected blessing came from a Coptic Christian man grieving his brother and said he needed prayers for all of the items listed on the Need Prayer sign. After receiving prayer, he offered his own prayer for the team, closing with a powerful and heartfelt Our Father that left our team deeply moved.

Praised be Jesus Christ!
