The following comes to us from team leader Lucy with our team in Boise, ID:

The number of people wanting a Rosary tripled last week! So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

A “nostalgia comic” (circa 2000-2010) convention was going on in the main event center nearby, with several attendees sporting elaborate costumes. We set up across the walkway from our usual spot.

A man wearing a strange pig/maid costume came to the table and pantomimed to us. He made an elaborate show of having no pockets in which to put a Rosary, and then turned down or ignored the couple of suggestions that would work with his costume. He ended up not taking one. May God save and heal him!

Several families stopped to get a Rosary for each member, 4-6 people at a time. Most of the families were already Catholic. For one family, the father hung back a few minutes to chat as his wife and children headed into the convention hall. Right out of high school, he had been heading toward the seminary. Now, he seemed to regret not following that path. The evangelist emphasized how important, too, the vocation to fatherhood is and how vital his spiritual leadership is for his family. He seemed to perk up and mentioned some daily devotions he practices. May God bless him and give him the wisdom to guide his whole family to holiness.

A family with several children passed by, the parents declining our offer of a Rosary. But one of the preteen boys came to the table for a Rosary. “Only if it’s okay with your parents,” said Chuck. The father paused, suggested that “perhaps they could get one another day”, and thanked us for honoring his authority.

Altogether, the two evangelists gave away a record 65-70 Rosaries and its pamphlet, 1-2 Our Lady Untier of Knots prayer cards, a Divine Mercy prayer card, and a map to area parishes.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes from today’s efforts.

The Rosary appeals to Catholics, used-to-be Catholics, and non-Catholics. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate!!! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
