The following report comes to us from team leader Lucy in Boise:
Despite steady rain, God arranged several meaningful encounters during last week’s outreach. The team moved locations a few times to stay dry, but still welcomed visitors to the table and distributed about a dozen Rosaries.
Two young men approached, one eagerly accepting a Rosary and calling it “a classic.” Though hesitant at first, both took one and were encouraged to pray and come to know Jesus more deeply.
Several teens also stopped by. A teenage boy unfamiliar with Christianity listened attentively to an explanation of the Rosary and accepted one. Groups of young girls—some Christian, some not—received Rosaries and heard about the devotion as a way to grow closer to Christ. In each case, the team offered encouragement and prayer for their faith journeys.
One Catholic teen brought a friend who seemed uncomfortable but still accepted a Rosary and pamphlet. The team asks for prayers so that her heart may be opened through her friend’s witness.
A young-adult couple also stopped. The woman, curious about many religions, joyfully accepted a Rosary, while her Catholic boyfriend shared that he had prayed it with her before. The team encouraged her to continue exploring Christ through the Rosary.
Despite the weather and light foot traffic, the team trusts that God is at work in each encounter. They ask for continued prayers—for open hearts, fruitful conversations, and the growth of God’s Kingdom through their efforts.
