The following report comes to us from team leader Lucy in Boise, Idaho:
People of all ages were drawn to the Rosary during our recent outreach. First-time evangelist Debbie joined the team and was pleasantly surprised by how many people wanted Rosaries.
Several encounters highlighted the power of a simple invitation. A man whose mother is Catholic stopped to receive a Rosary and a Spanish-language pamphlet. Another man initially declined but returned moments later to ask for a Rosary for his Catholic mother. The team also met a group of pre-teens who knew that Jesus loved them but had never learned about the Rosary. After hearing an explanation, each chose one and was encouraged to pray it regularly. Two teenage girls from non-Catholic Christian backgrounds also accepted Rosaries after learning how the devotion can help them grow closer to Christ.
One especially memorable encounter involved a preschool-aged girl who eagerly chose a bright purple Rosary. Later, she and her mother returned; the mother was now wearing the Rosary, while the girl selected a shorter one with the same colorful beads.
Not every interaction was positive, as one woman openly rejected the faith and loudly told the man that she “worshipped [the very enemy of her soul] and so didn’t need anything” from us. But the team continued praying for all those they met. Despite light foot traffic, they distributed 20–25 Rosaries along with pamphlets explaining how to pray them.
Please pray that those who received Rosaries will grow closer to Jesus Christ and His Church, and that God will continue to prepare hearts for future evangelization efforts.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
